We have always thought this wheel was great for multiple gliders, hedgehogs, chinchillas & large rats and other non chewing small pets. I now recommend them for marmosets and tamarins as well. I recently took in 4 pairs of marmosets. Each cage was decked out with all the normal decor (branches, pouches, hammock, toys and this Silent Runner. I laughed and ask who on earth would think to put this wheel in a monkey cage. Go figure these marms love this wheel. These are breeder monkeys that don't get out as often as pet monkeys mind you, but when they get bore they start running like crazy. I've started adding them to my cages and slowly they are starting to use them. The monkeys that I acquired started young with this wheel so I believe that makes a big difference. I use this wide green wheel & remove the front plate and attach it to the side of the cage.
